Finds your computer by itself
Open the app on both devices on the same Wi-Fi and they connect. It remembers your computer and reconnects automatically.
CamNexo sends your phone camera to your computer over your own Wi-Fi and shows up as a normal webcam in Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, OBS and your browser. No account. No cloud. Just a sharper picture.
Free during early access. Your video never passes through our servers.
Phone cameras are far better than built-in laptop webcams. CamNexo is the simple, quick way to use one.
Open the app on both devices on the same Wi-Fi and they connect. It remembers your computer and reconnects automatically.
Pick any size your phone supports, from 360p to 4K, or choose Auto and let CamNexo adapt to your connection. Change it live from your computer.
Keep a steady landscape or portrait frame whichever way the phone is held, or let the picture follow the phone. Flip it for upside-down mounts.
Your phone encodes video with its own hardware H.264 encoder, so the stream stays smooth and your phone stays cool.
Switch to another app on your phone and the camera keeps streaming. Stop it any time from the notification.
There is nothing to sign up for. CamNexo has no analytics and no ads, and your video stays between your own devices.
Nothing to configure. If your phone and computer are on the same Wi-Fi, you are nearly there.
Put the CamNexo app on your phone and the desktop app on your computer. The desktop app sets up the virtual camera for you.
Your computer appears in the phone app's nearby list. Tap it once. Next time it connects on its own.
In Zoom, Meet, Teams, OBS or any app that uses a camera, choose CamNexo from the camera list.
The list adapts to your phone. Sizes your camera or encoder cannot do are never offered.
CamNexo has no servers that touch your video. The phone connects straight to your computer across your own network.
Windows and Android are in early access. macOS and Linux are on the way.
iPhone support is planned. Read the safety notes before installing an early-access build.
CamNexo appears as a standard camera called “CamNexo”, so it works with apps that accept a normal webcam: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, OBS, Discord and browsers. On Windows 11 the Camera app shows it too.
No account. Your phone and computer only need to be on the same local network. They do not need internet access to talk to each other, although your video call app will.
Not yet. Today the video travels unencrypted across your local network, so use CamNexo on a network you trust, such as your home or office Wi-Fi, and not on public Wi-Fi. Pairing and encryption are the next security work on our list. See the safety notes.
That depends on your phone. CamNexo lists the sizes your phone's camera and hardware encoder support, up to 4K on phones that can do it. Wi-Fi quality matters too, and Auto lowers the size if your connection struggles.
Yes. While streaming, CamNexo shows a notification and keeps the camera running in the background. Stop it from the app or the notification. Some phone makers limit background apps aggressively; if streaming stops, exclude CamNexo from battery optimisation.
Early-access builds are free. Pricing for the finished product has not been announced.
Use the camera in your pocket. Set it up once, and it is there every time you join a call.
