Terms of use

These terms apply when you download or use the CamNexo apps or this website. By using CamNexo, you agree to them.

Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and Yantrix Labs (“we”, “us”), the maker of CamNexo. “CamNexo” means the phone app, the desktop app, the virtual camera component and this website.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use CamNexo on devices you own or control. You may not sell, rent or sublicense it, remove copyright notices, or copy or modify it except as the law allows.

Early-access software

Current builds are early access. They may contain bugs, change without notice, stop working with some devices or apps, or be withdrawn. Do not rely on them for anything where a failure would cause harm or serious loss. Features, availability and pricing may change before a full release.

Acceptable use

Use CamNexo only with cameras and devices that you own or have permission to use. You agree not to:

  • use it to record, stream or watch people without their knowledge and consent where the law requires it;
  • use it to break the law or anyone's rights;
  • try to disrupt other people's networks or devices, or use CamNexo to attack them;
  • use it to bypass the rules of another service, such as a video call provider.

You are responsible for following the laws and policies that apply to recording and streaming where you are.

Your network and devices

CamNexo needs your phone and computer to reach each other over a network. You are responsible for choosing a network you trust. The current versions do not encrypt the stream, as explained in the privacy policy and the safety notes. The desktop app installs a virtual camera on your computer, which needs administrator permission once.

Other companies and products

Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, OBS, Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and other names are trademarks of their owners. CamNexo is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Their products have their own terms.

Privacy

How CamNexo handles data is described in the privacy policy.

No warranty

CamNexo is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or business, arising from your use of CamNexo. Our total liability for any claim relating to CamNexo is limited to the amount you paid us for it, or, if you paid nothing, to a nominal amount. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending use

You can stop using CamNexo at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access to CamNexo, for example if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as the warranty and liability sections) continue after use ends.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using CamNexo after a change, you accept the updated terms.
